Mecca Potentate's Gala 2024 is begin held at Nicotra's Ballroom located within the 415 acre nature preserve on Staten Island, in the City of New York.
At a black-tie masquerade ball, the dress code combines formal elegance with an air of mystery. Gentlemen are expected to wear tuxedos, complete with a bow tie, formal dress shirt, and polished dress shoes. For ladies, it's an opportunity to don glamorous floor-length gowns, exuding sophistication and allure. The masquerade twist introduces the element of masks, allowing attendees to adorn themselves with ornate, stylish masks that complement their attire. The NYC Columbus Day Parade is a vibrant celebration honoring Italian-American heritage and Christopher Columbus's historic voyage. The parade is the Monday after the gala and fills the streets of Manhattan with a colorful procession of floats, marching bands, cultural performances, and representatives from various Italian-American organizations. Spectators line the parade route, which typically stretches along Fifth Avenue, to enjoy the lively displays of Italian pride, music, and traditional costumes. It's a momentous occasion where communities come together to commemorate their heritage, showcasing the rich cultural contributions of Italian-Americans to the fabric of New York City and the nation as a whole.

Rumor has it that Mecca's Staten Island Shrine club will be hosting an event, that includes the use of one of Mecca's Yacht Club's gigantic orange vessels. (The Staten Island Ferry). Perhaps a trip to Ground Zero; Central Park; the Edge; the Statue of Liberty... It is the Greatest City in the World.... and if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.
The closest and easiest airport would be Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Followed by JFK. If you are arriving by air, please contact anthony@mecca2024.org to arrange pick up.
